MWC begins in a few days and we are hoping to see some exciting new announcements, the most interesting of all being the release of the Meizu Ubuntu phone.
There has been a lot of speculation as to which phone Meizu have opted for for their Ubuntu device, but it now seems official that the Meizu MX4 has been chosen to represent. In a post on Weibo in China, Meizu posted an image of the Meizu MX4 running Ubuntu with the phrase “More than better”. The image also links to the English Meizu website meaning the Ubuntu phone will be an international launch.
Text posted mentions MWC, so that’s exactly what we can expect to see at the Canonical stand early next month in Barcelona.
The Meizu MX4 is the mid-range smartphone from Meizu and features 2GB RAM, 5.35-inch 1080 display, MT6595 processor and 21 mega-pixel rear camera.
