We have seen leaks of the rear shell of the Meizu m1 mini, and we have seen purported press material, but this photo is the first to show us a working Meizu m1 mini, but there is something more to it than that!
The image has 3 phones, the one nearest is the Meizu m1 note with 5.5-inch display, while the other too phones look a lot like the rumoured 5-inch Meizu m1 mini. We can see the thicker than average border around the display which would meed the expectations of the plastic unibody shell and also helps to debunk the idea that the phones are the older MX3.
If we look more closely at the 2 Meizu m1 mini in the photo, the middle phone looks as though it is running a stock Android OS, similar to that found on Nexus phones. We can see the standard Android icons and the Flyme smartbar is replaced with native Android onscreen navigation.
What we are likely looking at here is a development phone running stock Android, but some commenters have suggested the idea that Meizu might release a stock Android version of the m1 mini. We’re not sure about this as Flyme is a part of what makes a Meizu phone a Meizu, but on the other hand a lot of big changes have happened over the past year.
The final phone in the photo looks like it is a YunOS phone, unfortunately there is no Ubuntu device in the photos which would help to prove last evenings leaks.
Meizu will hold a “Connected” launch on the 28th January where we hope to see the Meizu m1 mini officially for the first time.
